For tomorrow's lesson, we will be talking about the Holy Ghost. (link for outline click here).

Included in the material for the outline, "What are the Roles of the Holy Ghost" is a VIDEO.

It's amazing.

I probably listened to it at least 6 times.  Pausing and pondering and listening to certain sentences by James E. Faust.

Over and over.

I am going to bring an old radio and quickly go over how to manually tune into a station.  Then show the video.

If you too are going to be discussing the Holy Ghost, here are some questions that might help when getting your girls to interact:

-"There will be many voices pulling for your attention".  What are these distracting voices/static?
-Why are they distracting?
-What channel should we listen to?  What does it sound like? (answers can be found in Boyd k. Packers talk, Counsel to Youth found here.  It's a good one.)
-How do we TUNE in?
-Why should we tune in?

We also will be reading the scriptures listed here.

I won't give word for word on any of my lessons because I feel YOU should prayerfully prepare your lessons.  But I thought giving questions to ask may help you with your discussions.

And above all, LISTEN to the voice of the Holy Ghost.  HE will reveal things into your heart and mind that you will be able to help your Young Women gain their own testimony's.

To help the girls remember the TOPICS each month, we made these cute papers to set out each Sunday.

Each class of the YW has a clipboard (set on the chalkboard or an easle) to clip the paper with the month's topic on it.

Here's an example of February's:

As a presidency, we thought it would be a good idea to give out 'Miss You' cards to the YW that are inactive.  This is to let them know we are thinking about them and miss them!  So we are going to tape one of these to their front door every last Sunday of the month.

Feel free to use them if you'd like to do this too!

So as you hopefully know by now, one of the "two ladies" from this blog was called into YW (Beehives)

(I'm still hoping for the other "lady" to get called in YW too!!! ;))

This is a label/handout I made to pass out to each Beehive.  We laminated these, put them in a baggy and put a few Bit O' Honey's in them.  (I wanted to put a Bert's Bee's Chapstick in them, but with 19 Beehives, it was just out of the budget).

Don't worry, the handout also had mine and my adviser's name and phone number on them.  to give us a "Buzz".

I took them off because I don't want random weird people calling me from China.

or anywhere.
I volunteered to share a message to the combined YW for Christmas -and thought I'd share a little from it...

We wanted this Sunday to be really special... so after we all met in the YW room at the beginning of church, we drove all the YW to the YW president's HOUSE for our SUNDAY LESSON!!!

My lesson was on how we can all be like the star of Bethlehem and still LEAD others to Christ, today.

This was the cute handout that we put together:

The stars inside were ornaments bought from Deseret Book (they were a really good price).  They each had a name of Christ on them.

Here's a blank copy for YOU in case you'd like one :)

My new years resolution... I mean ONE of my new years resolutions is to be better at taking pictures for everyone (and anyone) who looks at this blog.

But no promises.

So here we go on my first post from Young Women's!!!!!

This is what we did our first activity:

We met at one of the leaders home and enjoyed a hot cocoa bar (with homemade everything -including the whipped cream!).

Then I did a demonstration on how to make a lotion/cream with peppermint essential oil in it.  All girls who came to the activity left with a sample.  (I did this same thing in RS and used those small clear plastic containers used for jeweley -found at Joanne's).

After that we started cutting out paper snowflakes.  Tons of them.

On all the snowflakes, we wrote thank you notes and love you notes to their old YW leaders.

Then the real fun began.

We then took off to their houses and taped the snowflakes to the old (I should say newly released) YW leaders front doors.

Rang the door bell....

(several times)....

And RAN!!!!

We left this note along with the snowflakes:

Simply Be.

As I had mentioned earlier, I was released as Relief Society coordinator...
But I had already planned out my 2014 ideas.  So I'm sorry I didn't get around to posting them earlier!

Here is what our theme for the year was going to be:  Simply Be.

If you want a blank copy of this, click HERE.  I left out the year and ward so that you can add it if you'd like :)

And HERE is the Year Plans.  It's a rough sketch of ideas but maybe it will be useful to someone.  All the RS Night Meetings were "Bee" themed.

The other lady for twoladiesandablog is still over RS Nights so here and there, there will still be some ideas for RS night meetings...

But as for me, I'm off to a new adventure in....

Young Women's!!!!!!

So stay tuned for new posts from the Beehives!!!!  Weird how I was thinking Bee's.......
